Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or hire Monterey Park Spray Foam Insulation for work at your home or business. By using the site, asking for an estimate or scheduling a job with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.
When a written estimate, proposal or contract for your job says something different from these terms, the document for your job controls on that point.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Monterey Park, CA, and we work in the surrounding cities as well. Our work includes attic, wall and crawl space insulation, blown-in and spray foam insulation, air sealing, vapor barriers and removal of old insulation. The home page lists our services, and our About page tells you more about our crew.
The descriptions on this site are general information. They aren't a promise that a certain product, method or result fits your house. We only know what your job needs after we've seen it in person.
Estimates and pricing
We give free in-person estimates with no obligation. An estimate is our best figure based on what we can see and reach during the visit, the size of the area, the material you choose and how much old material has to come out first.
Some conditions only show up once the work starts, such as damaged or wet insulation, pest debris, hidden framing damage or areas we couldn't reach during the visit. When that happens, we'll stop and explain what we found, and we won't do work beyond the agreed scope or charge more without your approval.
Prices on an estimate are good for the period written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, so we may need to update the figure.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll set a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delays, illness or conditions on an earlier job can push a date back, and when that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and offer the next date we can.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work areas on the scheduled day, including the attic hatch, crawl space and any path through the house. Please move stored items, vehicles and pets out of the way ahead of time, because a blocked area can delay the job or add time to it.
Some materials, including spray foam, require everyone to stay out of the house for a set time after the work. We'll tell you before the job when you can go back inside, and you agree to follow that guidance for your household and pets.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (626) 597-0201 as early as you can. If we've already ordered special material or turned down other work for your date, we may charge for those costs, and that charge will be written on your estimate or contract.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written on your estimate or contract. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a payment is late, we may pause any remaining work until the account is brought up to date. Where California law allows, we may also recover reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance.
Our work guarantee and warranty limits
We stand behind our work. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty on your job will be spelled out on your estimate, contract or invoice, and that document says what it covers and for how long.
Insulation products carry their own manufacturer warranties, and those come from the maker, not from us. Our coverage doesn't extend to damage from roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, later work by others, changes you make to the house or conditions we didn't install or weren't hired to fix.
Apart from any warranty written into your job documents, and to the extent California law allows, our services and this website are provided as they are, without other promises, express or implied. We don't promise a specific drop in your power bill or a specific indoor temperature, because those depend on your house, your equipment and how you use them.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured, and we're responsible for the work we do. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of the home, lost income or the cost of a hotel, unless the law says we must be. Nothing in these terms limits liability that California law doesn't allow a business to limit.
Using this website
The words, photos and layout on this site belong to Monterey Park Spray Foam Insulation, and you may not copy them for commercial use without our permission. Please don't use the site to send spam, try to break it or submit false information through the contact form.
We try to keep the site accurate, but it can contain errors or outdated details. Links to other websites are there for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for what those sites say or do.
If we have a disagreement
If you're unhappy with any part of our work or billing, call us first. Most problems get settled faster with a conversation and a return visit than through any formal process.
If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take the matter to a court with authority over it in Los Angeles County, California, unless we both agree in writing to use mediation or another process first.
Which law applies
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page when you use the site or book a job is the one that applies, and changes won't affect work already agreed in a signed estimate or contract.
